3. Basic Checklist

Do I meet the minimum system requirements? If not, change system as needed.

Do I have the latest drivers/updates for my video card, sound card, motherboard, router, and Windows? If not, visit the manufacturer’s website for software updates and support. Check Microsoft.com for Windows Updates.

Are my game settings appropriate for my system? If not, this can cause lag in-game for yourself and for others. Go to “Settings” and turn your graphics down, even to ‘Low’. It is especially recommended you turn your Texture Detail down.

Are my ports forwarded? If not, check the FAQ section for more info. Some routers need to be forwarded so you can play online.

Do my anti-virus/firewall programs conflict? If not, see the FAQ section for more details. Some programs are known to conflict with Company of Heroes.

Is my game patched to the latest version? If not -- connect online, and let the game automatically download the latest patch for you. If you cannot patch, see the FAQ section.
