Rules

  • Please do not post in red unless you are a developer or speaking on behalf of Relic.
  • You must write steps on how to reproduce the bug. Bugs submitted without any reproduction information may be removed.
  • If you delete a bug/balance suggestion, you must repost it in the Discussion tab explaining why
  • Any posts not following the format in the instructions will be removed
  • Please do not post bugs or balance suggestions unless you have played at least 3 games of the relevant patch
  • Please do not copy or paste bug lists/balance suggestions from previous patches. We have those on file, and have bugs submitted if necessary. Please only post new relevant issues.
  • Issues relating to unit stats or abilities being altered in effectiveness are Balance Issues, they are not "bugs" unless the ability is actually not working, rather than simply being more/less effective than before. Please enter these issues in the Balance section.

Gameplay Bugs

[2.502] Firing from Buildings

  • Player controlled Units have problems firing out of buildings. Usually, they don't fire at all, until a target is assigned manually.

[2.501 & 2.502] Henschels on "Oosterbeek: Der Hexenkessel"

  • The player can no longer use the Henschel PanzerKnacker Support tactic on the Operation Market Garden map "Oosterbeek: Der Hexenkessel" to take out the 25 pounders across the river. [1]

Graphics Bugs

[2.501]Some Bugs

  • (Old bug) PE has no VP flag.
  • SLI graphics bug. I have sli'd 880gtx768s and upon exiting the tac map the game ground textures flicker continually until I move away from the areas textures, very annoying and makes me have to disable the sli set up unless I want a seizure. Please look into this engine bug. I want to be able to use my investment on a product that "supports" sli. Its an old bug and its annoying a lot of people.

WorldBuilder Stamp Tool

  • Sry for creating the new categorie. But i think there is no other categorie which fit that bug. The Problem is the Stamp Tool, you can already use old stamp from <2.301 but you can´t make new Stamp with >2.501 (same with new 2.502 and the 2.6) - Mystic

Scar Maps

  • Maps which got a scar file, which hasent got any Wind Conditions will never end. This Bug is since 2.6 - Mystic

[2.502] Overpowered US AT-Guns

  • The US AT-Guns are extremely overpowered. They deal tremendous damage, have an exceptional range and are extremely cheap. Furthermore they deal too much damage to base buildings. As AI prooves often enough, spam of some AT-Guns and a couple of support Units is sufficient to make all other tactics than artillery obsolete

Problem with supercharged artillery. When I enable supercharged artillery, nothing seems to change when the 25 pounders are fired. Not even a range increase.

Doctrines

[2.502] Prohibit Offmap Artillery on base sectors

  • No offmap artillery should be allowed on player's base sectors. On map artillery should however remain unchanged.

[2.502] Royal Artillery Supercharged Rounds for Mortars

  • Giving the artillery reliant doctrine additional, automatically targeting and firing mini-artillery placements (namely mortar pits) is imo not neccessary. It is sufficient that 25ers can reach every base, but it is unneeded that mortars contribute to base arty spam. Feedback welcome.

[2.502] Commando False Smoke + Arty

  • All british players have access to powerful artillery pieces, no matter which doctrine they choose. It therefore appears unnecessary to add offmap artillery support to the Commando Doctrine. Instead this doctrine should have access to all kinds of fake signals, such as creeping barrage, airborne support and american arty smoke. Alternatively, the artillery feature could be turned

into a offmap smoke barrage, that could stealth all units within it's range and break suppression. This would be very commando-like.

Feature Suggestions

Axis german voices

  • Would be nice to have the Axis voices for the german release made available for the non- german releases of the game, so one could choose to have the germans speak german instead of english with a heavy accent(preferably without causing the allies to speak german...). And the other way around?

Tanks Crush Unmanned Heavy Weapons

  • I've run into problems with unmanned MGs and mortars interfering with tank pathing. Why not just let tanks crush unmanned heavy weapons like they do with wrecks?
    • Agree! One MG blocking an entire Bridge is crap!

Online custom map transfer

  • I would really like to see online map transfer because e-mail or flash driving it is a real pain.

Cones

  • Show the fireing cons/arcs of MGs and ATguns when they are selected, not only when thy are deployed. ~Umbert
    • Very good suggestion, much appreciated, makes using Weapon teams easier, especially for newer players. (dArCReAvEr)

CoH - The Movie!

  • Relic made this outstanding game with outstanding graphics. When one watches the replays and toggles the cinematic mode and hides the UI, one feels as participating in the action. Outstanding. But it would be even better, if the teamcolors and the tactical sprites as unit badges and resource/victory point markers could be toggled off in the Interface. By this, the pleasure in watching the replays would double, and screenshots would look even better!!! As a minor addition, I would love to see the 0.75x replay acceleration. 0.5 is a little to slow, and 1.0 a little to fast to enjoy the replay. 0.75 would be magnificent!!! These features would make CoH Replays better than Movies!!!
  • And please keep the camera on one unit longer than 2 seconds! A 2v2 is unwatchable because of the constant and fast viwepoint changes. And try to keep the camera focused on the selected player and only jump into other players view if the player is going to score a big hit (meassured by XP). ~Umbert

Show Temp.rec ingame

  • I would enjoy, if you are able to see the temp.rec ingame, without renaming it! You can easily search your last opponents.

Leaderboard Stats

  • I have a way to add relic rank right into the leaderboard, just add rank ratings right next to the position placing. Then everyone wondering where they really are placed could see rather then relic having to host another site someplace that they have to pay for.
  • Also please no more stat wipes for once I would like to see people getting level 16-19 more often and people fighting for those positions rather than me wondering whats the point of ranking when all my hundreds of hours wasted in ranked only to have my stats wiped in a month or two. I loved Battlefields 2 ranking system a lot more, took lots of work and when you got up there you didn't get your stats wiped. I bet you would see more people playing ranked if you didn't wipe all the time and for someone like me who don't play ranked everyday for hours on end would allow me to actually get higher up to the top. I don't like how its more of a matter of beating the clock to the next stat wipe.
  • I think Team Automatch ranks should show like 1v1 or 2v2 ranks do in your stats and in chat next to your name should be like 1v1 or 2v2 only with a little "AT" in front of your highest rank icon. I bet this would boost people playing in arranged teams as well cause now they can show off the rank that they have worked for. Thats why most people play rank I think so they have something to show off.
  • Basic ranks I think have got to go as well too many people doing compstomps to gain rank. Take away basic ranks and I bet you will see more in automatch as well.
  • Please Relic, PLEASE, this is a must. Gameplay is a pain with only atack-move tactical map orders. You cant order a short range squad to get close enemy units, you cant order your tanks to flank a position, you cant even order any unit to retreat slightly its possition, because it will engage combat. PLEASE RELIC, make it optional or whatever you want, but a force-move order is highly required. I will apreciate any official comment about this issue.

Grid keys

  • Incorporate grid keys as an option in game. I would absolutely love not to have to change my .moudle file every time the game is patched just to game them working. All I'm asking for is a folder which I can stick my custom key settings to allow them to have priority over the defaults. -Guardsman

Show map preview in automatch map list.

  • Map preview in automatch would help people to untick maps easier. We don't know ALL map names...

Add repair and retreat to tactical map

  • Repair a vehicle with selected squad and retreat selected squad. Would you like it?

In fact increase tactical map's possibilities

  • People suggest some new possible actions from TM but what would be realy cool is that a player could do everything from the tactical map, see the buildings, order unit production, plant mines, garnison units, ungarnison them... (FLXleGaulois)
  • Agree, make the game playable from the tactical map. Perhapse add a HUD and resource tab to the map allowing you to give more specific orders.~Pyro

tactical map's tactical usage

  • First, add a tab on the tactical map called 'tactics' or 'Planning' Add the ability to pull in and rotate premade chalk marks like you see during the planning stage on every mission of each single player campaign. this will allow in team games for you to draw out exactly what you are going to, enemy positions, or what you want others to do. you can also toggle it turning off some or all players tactical over lays.~Pyro
    • To prevent spamming or scribbling, limit the number of items you can drag in. just a couple of arrows, a couple of defence blocks and a couple of Xs and Os in both blue and red.~Pyro

Chat Log in Tactical Map

  • I frequently miss messages people type in game; it would be nice if messages people sent would remain on the Tactical Map rather than fade after a few seconds. A scroll bar might need to be added in case the area fills up.


Behaviour of Officers when attached to a Squad

  • The behaviour of the Lieutenant, Captain, and Command Tank when attached to another units sometimes leads to frustration. When the leading unit reverses direction to avoid a sudden threat the attached officer will exactly retrace their path. Thus it continues to move towards the threat while the lead unit is already getting away. It would be preferable to have the officer always move towards its lead unit and simply stand still when it gets close enough.

Alow to cancel repositioning I have an MG facing one direction I want to place it bettre so I hold right clic and at that very moment troops attack in front of my MG. I have no solution to abort the new facing order and let the MG as IT is. Make it like total war serie: hold right click to reface the weapon, if you want to abort the order left click while holding ricgt click. (FLXleGaulois)
